TLG possesses international accreditations to countries and their markets not available anywhere else in Australia and contributes leading-edge genetics into the cattle industry.
Total Livestock Genetics (TLG) was formed in 1989 by Shane and Erin Ashworth in response to the need for an independent and professional semen and embryo collection service. In January 2021, TLG became the subsidiary company of Genetics Australia Co-operative (GA), under the name Total Livestock Genetics Victoria. In July 2023 Genetics Australia Co-operative commenced a Joint Venture (JV) with URUS, which is owed to the overwhelming support of GA’s members. The aim of the JV is that GA and subsequently TLG can continue to be progressive and leaders in the industry by taking advantage of the international support and opportunities created by the JV.
